Prof. Robert Arasa holds a doctorate in strategic management, MBA and Bcom from The University of Nairobi. He has over 15 years of corporate experience having served: the National Health Insurance Fund – Kenya in various positions including Branch Manager, Marketing Manager, Head of Business Development & Research; and Institute of Policy Analysis & Research as Research Associate.

He has over 15 years’ experience in academia having served as Senior Faculty (Strathmore University), Senior Faculty and Director– Graduate Business School (Catholic University of Eastern Africa) and currently as Professor of Strategic Management – Machakos University. Arasa has mentored and continues to mentor the youth and learners who pass through his hands. He strongly advocates for use of case studies in helping the learners and practitioners connect their learnt knowledge and skills with practices and challenges in today’s businesses. He has published in areas of strategy, entrepreneurship, supply chain management, marketing and human resource and has attended and co-presented papers in various conferences.

Arasa was served as the Chair of the organizing committee of Machakos University 6th International Conference which was held from 29th to 31st of May 2024 at Machakos University. Arasa provides reviewer services to various journals including Business Management and Economic Journal, International journal of Educational Policy and Review, Journal of Economics, Management & Trade and also serves in the editorial teams of IPRJB publishers and Machakos University Journal of Science and Technology.

Prof. Arasa has provided consultancy services to organizations within the public and private sectors (local and international) in areas of strategic plan, policy review, performance management, programme/project evaluation, management surveys and various management capacity building programmes. He is a member of Kenya Institute of Management, Marketing Society of Kenya and Associate Researcher – Institute of Policy Analysis & Research.
